Urgent Search: New Dashcam Video Shows Last Confirmed Sighting of Missing Texas Teen Camila Mendoza Olmos, Vanished Christmas Eve
SAN ANTONIO, TX – The frantic search for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, who vanished on Christmas Eve, has intensified with the release of chilling dashcam footage showing what authorities now call her "last confirmed sighting." Family members, including her aunt and cousin, appeared on "FOX & Friends" Tuesday morning, pleading for public assistance as Texas authorities express grave concerns for the teen's safety, believing her to be "in imminent danger."
Chilling Dashcam Footage: A Glimpse Before Disappearance
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar revealed Monday that a neighbor's dashboard camera captured the final confirmed image of Mendoza Olmos. The grainy video, recorded on Wildhorse Parkway between Shetland Wind and Caspian Spring in Bexar County, shows a lone figure matching Camila's description walking away from her home at approximately 6:58 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
"We're sharing that with you all in hopes that somebody may have collected similar video," Sheriff Salazar stated at a news briefing. "To this point, really, this was the best direction of flight that we were able to develop."
According to authorities, Camila was last seen wearing a baby blue and black hoodie, baby blue pajama pants, and white shoes. She is believed to have left her home on Caspian Spring, turned left onto the parkway, and continued north into unknown territory. The sighting occurred just a couple of blocks from her residence, prompting fears that "somebody may have taken her" shortly after she was seen on camera.
Family's Desperate Plea: "We Just Have a Feeling That Someone Took Her"
Camila's aunt, Nancy Olmos, shared her profound fear on "FOX & Friends," stating, "We just have a feeling that someone took her. Someone took her from outside." This sentiment underscores the family's deep distress and the unsettling nature of Camila's disappearance.
Refuting rumors circulating about Camila's ex-boyfriend, Nancy Olmos dismissed them as "fake news," clarifying that the couple had recently split on "good terms" and their families have been close for decades. Camila's cousin, Destiny Mendoza, also spoke out, recalling her last conversation with Camila on December 23rd as "completely normal." "It was just, 'Oh I love you I'll talk to you after the gym,'" Destiny recounted, highlighting the sudden and unexplained nature of the disappearance.
Destiny also noted that Camila was not fond of the outdoors, hiking, or nature trails, making a voluntary disappearance into the wilderness unlikely.
Authorities Explore All Avenues: From Voluntary Disappearance to Abduction
Sheriff Salazar emphasized that the Bexar County Sheriff's Office is considering "several different theories" in their investigation. While acknowledging some evidence of past "bouts of depression" – a common factor in young people – he reiterated that no possibility is being ruled out.
"We've got to consider all possibilities, from disappearing willfully to the possibility of self-harm, to somebody may have taken her," Salazar explained. "Maybe, after this video, somebody may have taken her."
The investigation has garnered significant federal support, with the FBI assisting in the analysis of digital evidence, including devices and additional video. Homeland Security has also been monitoring flight and border crossing records, although no direct information suggests Camila left the country. Furthermore, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was checked, confirming they do not have her in custody.
